StateMatcher provides personalized U.S. relocation intelligence reports and related services. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how it may be shared, and the choices available to you.

StateMatcher is a FlagSeek company and uses shared FlagSeek systems for accounts, checkout, questionnaires, report generation, delivery, optional print fulfillment, and customer support.

Information we collect

We may collect your name, email address, purchase details, selected states, relocation preferences, questionnaire answers, household composition, budget ranges, employment and income information, housing needs, healthcare and ongoing-care considerations, accessibility needs, family and education needs, safety priorities, identity-related concerns, climate preferences, and other information you choose to provide.

We may also collect device, browser, log, referral, cookie, authentication, and usage data needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service.

How we use information

We use information to personalize reports, process purchases, store report records, support account access, deliver digital and optional printed products, respond to requests, attribute eligible partner referrals, maintain security, prevent fraud, troubleshoot errors, improve products, and satisfy legal and operational obligations.

Questionnaire answers and report-related information may be processed by artificial intelligence systems and supporting software to generate, organize, review, render, and deliver personalized relocation analysis.

Payments, accounts, and providers

Providers may include Stripe for payments, Clerk for authentication, Vercel for hosting, database and storage providers, email providers, analytics and security tools, AI infrastructure providers, and Lulu or related providers for optional print production and fulfillment.

Payment card details are handled by Stripe. StateMatcher does not store full payment card numbers on its own servers.

Partner attribution

When you use an eligible partner link, coupon code, or referral path, we may record attribution information needed to calculate discounts, commissions, program performance, fraud prevention, and support. Any partner access to customer-identifying information is governed by applicable disclosures, permissions, settings, and program terms.

Data sharing

We do not sell personal information to data brokers, advertisers, or other third parties. We may share information with providers processing it on our behalf, professional advisors, authorities when legally required, or parties involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets.

Data retention

We retain information as reasonably needed to provide reports and services, maintain customer and transaction records, fulfill print orders, administer referrals and commissions, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, and operate the service.

You may request access, correction, or deletion, subject to legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, operational, backup, and recordkeeping limits.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No internet service, storage system, database, or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Cookies and account continuity

StateMatcher and shared FlagSeek systems may use cookies or similar technologies for authentication, account continuity, security, referral attribution, preferences, checkout, and site operation. Limiting cookies may interfere with account, checkout, or report functionality.

Children

StateMatcher is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Adults may provide household information about children when relevant to relocation planning.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a revised date.
